The Heart Behind Every Dish

Hello, I’m Chef Karthik, and my love for cooking began in the colorful coastal city of Pondicherry, India. Surrounded by rich aromas and diverse flavors, I grew up fascinated by the art of Indian cuisine, how simple ingredients could tell such powerful stories through taste.

My formal culinary journey started with a Diploma in Food Production, followed by three years of professional training with the Taj Group of Hotels in Bangalore, where I mastered both North and South Indian cuisine. Those years shaped not just my skills but my philosophy: that great food is made from the heart, using only the freshest ingredients and time-honored techniques.

Over the past decade, I’ve had the privilege of working with renowned Indian restaurants across the United States, each experience deepening my understanding of how food connects people across cultures.

Today, as the head chef at Ruchi Priya Indian Kitchen in Morgantown, WV, I’m proud to share my heritage with every guest. My goal is simple, to craft unforgettable dining experiences that celebrate authentic Indian flavors, blending tradition, creativity, and love in every dish.
